Local bar in a nice little town that I assume is mostly a local hangout. Probably one of the worst experiences I've ever had. The bartender/waitress had to be the most rude, bigoted, unfriendly server I've encountered in my entire life. Diversity apparently is not in her vocabulary. I was there with my girlfriend and 2 of my adult kids. My daughters boyfriend, who is black, was with us as well. We walked in and got a taste of what it's like in the deep south. We just were there to get out of the 90 heat and have a cold one. Three Oaks should be embarrassed that this place is in their town. it's basically a quaint resort town that caters to vacationers. A lot of great antique, vintage clothing, cafe's, and galleries. The waitress acted so mean while she served us. At one point I asked her in a concerned tone if there was something wrong after she snapped at us the 3rd time. She snapped back again that she was on pain killers. I should have told her to take a few more so she could have a smile on her face. After our beer she never came back to the table. I went to the bar to pay the check and she made me stand there nearly 5 minutes while she sat at another table talking to another customer. I did notice that she had no problem smiling while talking at the table with the other customer. Stay away.

We were just at Nelson's while visiting Three Oaks for the Inside Out Festival. We thought we would go into this bar for a beer. We were pleasantly surprised at the look of the place when we walked in and decided to get some lemonade at the bar. There were very cute booths along one wall and people were ordering burgers that looked good. My husband decided to get some chicken and dumpling soup since he was feeling a bit under the weather. The bartender told us that the soup was really good and it did not disappoint. My husband loved it. Our experience was far different from the first reviewer since the bartender was friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back to try the burgers and home maid pie.

A refreshingly normal place surrounded by an accelerating twatfest. If you don't like Nelson's, you are part of the problem. Sorry dickheads, but you will never find a better burger for the price. The meat is as fresh as it gets, local as hell, and perfectly cooked. I usually order a bacon double cheeseburger with fries. Every time, the burger is so juicy it drips all over the fries, turning them into some kind of poutine. It is very tasty. They have all kinds of other crap to eat too. The internet jukebox is a kind I've never seen anywhere else, and has all kinds of obscure shit available that you just cannot get on TouchTunes. So you can eat your incredibly delicious and affordable burger while jamming out to Rien Ne Va Plus by Funk Factory. If the somewhat yoklish staff bristles at your selection, empathy is more applicable than whatever cuntish reaction would lead you to vent on Yelp. Just throw a couple of decent old country tunes into the mix. The beer selection is ok. Craft beers are limited to Bell's 2 Hearted and Round Barn Kolsch. Mostly Busch and crap like that. But that's fine though, Right? All those hoppy overpriced beers are causing you to develop breasts and a rudimentary vagina underneath your scroad.

If you want to spend two hours for a burger lunch this is your place. Food is not bad but the service is TERRIBLE. So so slow.

Went to Nelsons on a slow Sunday afternoon on the recommendation that it was" the best burger around", but didn't get the chance to find out. Sat down with a party of 6, got our drinks and an app sat for 15 or so minutes while the waitress yacked in the kitchen area. Waited awhile longer and she came by and said they were in the middle of a "shift" change and the other waitress would be by to take our order...(we were the only occupied table in the place). Waited around 10more minutes while they conversed awhile longer and then just asked for our tab ...never got a chance to sample the burgers...Gotta Do A Better Job Then That Ladies!

Local bar and grill with a friendly staff and great burgers. Been there many times and the food has always been good.

good burgers and grilled chicken sandwiches and cheap draft bell's beer. i got 2 good sandwiches on good buns with fries and 4 beers for like $25. on friday's they have fish&chips and it smelled pretty good from across the street where beer cost twice as much. for a bar, their food is pretty good, better than featherbone, and it cost less too. they also had some good looking pie but i was too full to embibe. the server was friendly, but i got the impression that they treat regulars better than newbies, thats ok
